Managing payments in the Acuity Scheduling Admin mobile app

Turn on tipping, send invoices, or review an appointment's payment status.

From the Acuity Scheduling Admin mobile app, you can manage settings for your connected payment processor, send invoices, or view an appointment's payment status.

Visit our guides on taking payment in person with Stripe or Square, or learn how to collect payment for upcoming appointments using the checkout tab

Enable tipping

If you have Administrator access, you can enable tipping from your mobile device so your clients can tip after an appointment.

The tipping feature on mobile works separately from the tipping option that you can enable on the client scheduling page and enables clients to leave a tip even when only a partial payment is made.

To enable tipping:

  1. Tap More, then tap Payments.
  2. Tap Enable to turn tipping on.
  3. Tap Save.

Create and send invoices

To create and send invoices from the mobile app:

  1. Tap More, then tap Invoices
  2. To create a new invoice, tap Create Invoice
  3. Use the search bar to find a specific invoice. You can also use the filters to narrow your results.
  4. To act on invoice, tap next to the invoice, then choose one of the following actions:
Action Effect Can you undo or cancel this action? What kinds of invoices can you do this to?
View Loads preview of invoice. Yes Paid, Unpaid, Canceled
Edit Opens the invoice editor. Yes Draft, Unpaid
Duplicate Opens a new invoice in the invoice editor with fields already filled in based on the selected invoice. Yes Any
Share Opens a pop-up window with the sharing link for your invoice. Yes Unpaid
Mark as paid Marks the invoice as paid. No Unpaid
Cancel Adds a cancellation notice to the top of the client’s view of the invoice, and removes the option to pay. Updates the invoice’s status in the Invoices panel to canceled. No Unpaid
Delete Deletes the invoice entirely.  No Draft, Unpaid, Canceled

Check appointment payment status

To check if a client has paid for an appointment:

  1. Tap Calendar, then tap the date of the appointment.
  2. Check the icon that appears in the top-right corner of the appointment. In the example below, the appointment has been paid for. Learn more about the other payment status symbols
