Collecting payments for appointments on the checkout tab

Collect payment for recent or upcoming appointments on the checkout tab on the mobile app.

On the Acuity Scheduling Admin mobile app for iOS or Android, you can collect payment for appointments on the checkout tab. The tab will only show appointments that are currently happening, have occurred in the past eight hours, or are happening up to 10 hours from that moment. 

To collect payment for an appointment: 

1. From the app home screen, tap Checkout. 
2. Tap the appointment you want to collect payment for. 
3. You can include add-ons or a gift certificate, package, or discount code:
   • Tap Add-ons, tap the add-ons you want to add, then tap Apply. 
   • Tap Code. Select a code from the list, or use the search bar to find a specific code, then tap Apply.
   • To remove a code or add-on, on the Checkout screen, swipe left then tap the trash can icon. 
4. Tap Next. Optionally, edit the amount being charged. Then select a payment method and complete the transaction. 

If an appointment isn't appearing on the tab, you can collect payment from the appointment details. Learn more about taking payment on the mobile app using Stripe or Square.
