Collect payments for appointments using the mobile app.
If you're using Square or Stripe as your payment processor, you can collect payments for appointments in person or after they book with you. You can also send a direct link from the mobile app to clients who still need to pay.
To connect to a payment processor or manage your payment settings, log into your account on a computer. For help getting set up, visit Managing payments with Acuity.
Accept payments with Square or Stripe
Using our integration with Square, you can pair a supported Square Reader with the Acuity Scheduling Admin mobile app to accept payments in person.
You can also collect payments for appointments in person using Stripe with the Acuity Scheduling Admin mobile app.
Note: Square is the only payment processor that can pair a card reader with Squarespace
Collect payment after booking
To collect payment after booking, you can manually enter the client’s payment method, record a cash payment, or send them a direct link to make a payment.
- From the app home screen, tap the appointment on your calendar.
- Tap Checkout.
- You can include add-ons or a gift certificate, package, or discount code:
- Tap Add-ons, tap the add-ons you want to add, then tap Apply.
- Tap Code. Enter the code, then tap Apply.
- To remove a code or add-on, on the Checkout screen, swipe left on the code or add-on, then tap the trash can icon.
- Tap Next, then tap a payment option:
- Tap Credit Card, then select a card on file, or add a new credit card, then tap Continue. If tipping is enabled, tap a tip amount, then tap Complete Payment.
- Tap Cash, then enter the amount, and then tap Record Payment.
- Tap Share Payment Link to send a link to your client using your device’s built-in share apps, like text message, email, or other messaging apps. To learn more about payment links, visit Managing payments in Acuity Scheduling.
Enable tipping
If you have Administrator access, you can enable tipping from your mobile device so your clients can tip after an appointment:
- Tap More, then tap Payments.
- Tap to toggle the Allow Tipping switch ON.
- Tap Save.
Create and send invoices
To create and send invoices from the mobile app:
- Tap More, then tap Invoices.
- To create a new invoice, tap Create Invoice.
- Use the search bar to find a specific invoice. You can also use the filters to narrow your results.
- To act on invoice, tap … next to the invoice, then choose one of the following actions:
