Elements of a scheduler

Last updated

A visual reference of the different parts of your scheduling page.

Clients can use your client scheduling page to book appointments with you. Reference this guide to understand how the different settings appear on your scheduler.

Appointment type selection

When clients first open your scheduler, this is what they'll see:

Client scheduling page example with a logo and scheduling instructions at the top, collapsed appointment categories in the middle, and a Show All Appointments button at the bottom.

Your (1) company name and logo will appear at the top, with your scheduling instructions displayed below. Clients can select a specific (2) appointment category to view appointments in that category, or click (3) Show All Appointments to see all of your appointment offerings.

When a client selects a category, they can select an appointment to view more details, like the appointment duration, price and description. You can edit any of the appointment details that display in the Appointment Types panel.

Calendar selection

After selecting the appointment type, clients can choose which calendar to book their appointment on:

An appointemnt type with multiple calendar options for booking that display the calendar name, description, and location.

If you offer the selected appointment type on multiple calendars, clients can select which staff member they want to book the appointment with. The scheduler displays the (1) calendar name, (2) description, and (3) calendar location if one is set. Calendars with the same address are grouped together on the scheduler, and the location doesn't have to be a full address.

When (4) calendar pooling is enabled, they can also choose from all possible appointment types available by selecting Any available

Date and time selection

Clients can select a date and time for their appointment based on your availability settings. The available times appear different depending on which template you're using.

Daily template:

Clicking a time slot on the daily template displays options to either select and continue, make the appointment time recurring, or add another time.

Monthly template:

After selecting a date, clicking a time slot on the monthly template displays options to either select and continue, make the appointment time recurring, or add another time.

Acuity will show all available start times for each day, unless you’ve enabled the look busy or minimize gaps settings to hide some times from clients. Clients can select from your (1) available slots, (2) book more than one appointment at the same time, or (3) book a recurring appointment

On the next page, clients complete the booking process by entering their information and payment details, if payment is required for the appointment. When the appointment is confirmed, clients are taken to a confirmation page
