Create appointments and classes to represent your service offerings.

When clients visit your scheduling page, they can select from your different classes or appointment types. Use these guides to learn how to create and edit appointments, manage appointments after booking, and how to customize your appointment offerings to meet your business needs.

Create and edit appointment types

Appointment types represent the different services clients can book with you. You can create as many appointment types as you like that vary in duration or price, and group them into categories with other similar appointment offerings. You can also include an intake form to collect important details about the client during booking. If you're migrating to Acuity Scheduling from a different scheduling software, learn how to import your appointments.

Create group classes

A group class is a type of appointment that allows multiple clients to join at the same time, like a group exercise or art class. Determine when the class will be offered, how many people can participate in each session, and if the class is part of a series.

Book appointments

Clients can book an appointment from your scheduling page. They can choose an appointment type, select a calendar if you have more than one, then pick the time slot that works for them.

You can also have your clients enter their payment information before completing the booking process. They'll receive a confirmation email with their appointment information.

You can also book appointments for clients in Acuity, or book using the Acuity Scheduling Admin mobile app.

Manage appointments

To view your upcoming appointments or classes, go to the Calendar panel in your Acuity account. Use the view filter to switch to Day View, Week View, or Month View, then use the calendar filter to decide which calendars display.

To edit, reschedule, or cancel an appointment, click the appointment on your calendar to open its details. You can also add labels to help segment your appointments and classes.

Advanced appointment options

Depending on your business's needs, you can use different settings and features to offer unique appointment options. For example:

Create time-window based appointments. With time-window based appointments, clients can book a time range for a service, like for a technician to arrive.
