Deactivate your subscription.
This guide explains how to cancel your Acuity subscription if you have the Squarespace Billing panel. These instructions apply to you if you created a Squarespace account when you first signed up for Acuity, or if you already had a Squarespace account that you used to sign up for Acuity.
If you have an Acuity account or had a separate Acuity account and were converted to a Squarespace account, use the instructions in Canceling your Acuity subscription if you have the classic Billing panel or the My Account panel instead.
Supported devices
It's only possible to manage your Acuity subscription from a computer.
Required permissions
Account owners and contributors with Admin or Billing permissions can cancel an Acuity subscription.
Trial cancellations
When your free trial ends, if you choose not to upgrade to a paid plan, your Acuity subscription will be automatically canceled. It’s not possible to cancel an Acuity trial before it expires. You won’t be charged unless you upgrade to a paid subscription.
Cancellation policies
Canceling Acuity is treated like canceling any other Squarespace subscription.
Your subscription expires at the end of the billing cycle. If you have an annual subscription and cancel in the first 14 days from purchase, we will automatically issue a full refund. To learn more about refunds, visit Refund policies.
Cancel your subscription
Your subscription will expire at the end of the billing cycle, unless you're canceling in the first 14 days of an annual subscription, in which case you'll have the choice to receive a refund and end the subscription immediately or let the subscription run its course without a refund.
To cancel your Acuity subscription if you added Acuity to a Squarespace website:
- Open the Billing panel.
- Under Subscriptions, click Scheduling.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
- In the next panel, click Cancel Scheduling Subscription.
- Click Confirm.
To cancel your Acuity subscription if you're using Acuity on its own, without adding it to a website:
- In the account dashboard, click the three dots at the top-right of your Acuity subscription's card, then click Billing.
- Click your Acuity subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
What happens after I cancel my subscription?
After your Acuity subscription ends, clients won't be able to book appointments.
You can view past appointments and export client data, but you can't make changes in Acuity or book new appointments for clients.
Existing appointments aren't canceled, but reminder and follow-up emails will not be sent.
We will tell search engines to remove your client scheduling page from their results. This change won't be reflected in search results until they re-index or re-crawl your site, which usually takes some time.
If you shared your scheduler in a scheduling block, delete the block after canceling. It isn't removed automatically when you cancel.
Reactivate your subscription
If you’ve canceled your Acuity subscription (but haven't deleted the subscription), it may be possible to reactivate it.
To reactivate your Acuity subscription:
- In the Home menu, click Scheduling.
- Follow the prompts to upgrade to a paid subscription.
- Follow the steps to choose your plan.
After you reactivate your subscription, we'll stop telling search engines to remove your client scheduling page from their results (unless you've separately blocked search engine crawlers).
