When your clients reach your scheduler, Acuity generally uses one of two templates to display the times you’re available. This guide outlines the differences between these templates and explains how to switch templates.
If all of your public appointment types are group classes, Acuity sometimes uses an automatically assigned class template. This guide also explains how the class template works.
Note: The instructions below include links to Acuity settings separated by the kind of account you use to log into Acuity. Which kind of account do I have?
Changing templates
To change your template:
- Open the Customize appearance panel: I log in with an Acuity account | I log in with a Squarespace account.
- In the Template field, choose Monthly or Daily, then click Save Changes.
Monthly template
The monthly template is best for clients booking more than a week in advance. Clients see each month listed out as a calendar. Days with times available are shown in bold, and available times for the selected date appear on the right. Clients can scroll forward one month at a time to look for more openings.
Use the settings in the Customize appearance panel to customize the font, and the colors of the body background, scheduler background, scheduler text, buttons and accents.
Daily template
The daily template is best for clients who want an appointment as soon as possible.
Clients see the next five days that you're available, with available times listed beneath each day. Clients can click More times to see openings further in the future.
Use the settings in the Customize Appearance panel to customize the font, as well as button and accent color.
Tip: If you're only available on certain days, or if some days have already filled up, clients see the next five open days, which could be more than a week in the future.
Class list template
If you meet the following criteria, your scheduler will default to the class list view:
- All public appointment types are group classes
- You've selected the daily template
- Packages, gift certificates, and subscriptions aren’t listed in your scheduler
Clients see a vertical list of upcoming days with available classes. Within each day, classes are listed by time. If a class is fully booked, a "no spots left" message will appear next to it in the list. Clients can click More times at the bottom to see openings further in the future.
Use the settings in the Customize Appearance panel to customize the font, as well as the button and accent colors.
Tip: If your settings don't trigger the class list template, you can send clients a list of your classes, shown in the class template by going to the Scheduling Page Links panel and using the Direct Links & Embedding drop-down menu to select All Classes.
