Enable clients to book appointments directly from your social media accounts.
Connect Facebook and Instagram to Acuity to track conversions through Meta Pixel, enable clients to book directly through social media, and more.
You can connect Acuity to Meta Business Suite to access all of Facebook’s offerings, or connect only to Instagram.
Connect to Meta Business Suite
Connecting to Meta Business Suite will connect your Facebook page and Meta Pixel to Acuity. You can also use this method to connect an Instagram profile, if your Instagram and Facebook accounts are linked.
To connect to Meta Business Suite, you must have:
- A Facebook business page
- A Facebook supported currency selected in Acuity
- A business name entered in Acuity
To set your business name:
- In Acuity, click Customize Appearance.
- Add a name in the Business Name field, then click Save Changes.
Tip: If you don’t have a business name and a supported currency, you’ll see an error message that reads “In order to connect to Facebook, you are required to have a Business Name and a supported currency.”

How Acuity integrates with your business page
The Facebook Business integration adds Acuity to your business page in two ways:
- a Book Now button in your profile that leads to your standalone scheduler.
- the option to send your scheduling page through Facebook Messenger.
Meta Pixel
You can use Meta Pixel to:
- track Acuity's performance
- create Facebook Audiences to target potential clients with Facebook ads
- create custom conversions to track specific actions or optimize Facebook ads
Note: Connecting Meta Pixel to Acuity doesn’t connect Pixel to any other parts of Squarespace, such as Commerce. To connect Pixel to other parts of Squarespace, visit Using Meta Pixel with Squarespace.
Events Acuity sends to Pixel
Acuity sends these events to Pixel:
Event |
Trigger |
PageView |
Visitor loads page or embedded scheduler |
InitiateCheckout |
Visitor reaches details form after selecting appointment type, date, time, etc. |
Schedule |
Visitor schedules an appointment. |
Purchase |
Visitor schedules an appointment or completes an order for a package, gift certificate, etc. |
Acuity data in Pixel
Pixel tracks all activity on your embedded scheduler and standalone scheduling page. It doesn't track your activity in Acuity, including when you book appointments on clients' behalf.
If you connect the same Pixel instance to both Acuity and a website:
- Facebook receives two PageView events when a visitor opens a page with your scheduler embedded: one for the page itself, and one for the scheduler.
- Data from both sources will be mixed together in the Facebook Events Manager. To identify which Purchase events came from Acuity, look for parameters that show the transaction value, appointment type, or purchase type.
Test the integration
To confirm the integration is working, schedule an appointment through your scheduler. Don’t book the appointment directly through Acuity on the client's behalf, because that won’t trigger the integration.
Once you’ve booked the test appointment, go to your Facebook Events Manager to verify that you’ve received PageView, InitiateCheckout, Purchase, and Schedule events. It may take up to 15 minutes for these events to appear. If you see them, you’ve successfully set up the integration.
Connect Acuity to your Instagram page so people viewing your Instagram profile can instantly book with you.
If you connect Acuity to Instagram as part of your connection to the Meta Business Suite integration, Instagram will add a Book button to your profile. If you don’t want to connect to Meta Business Suite, you can add a Book button directly to your Instagram profile.
To connect, you need the latest version of Instagram and an Instagram business profile. You also need to be the owner of your Acuity subscription.
To add the Book button, follow Instagram’s steps for adding a call-to-action button. When you’re prompted to choose an action button, pick Acuity Scheduling. You may be prompted to log in during this process.
It's not possible to connect Acuity to more than one Instagram account.
If you’re unable to add a Book button manually and your Instagram Business Profile is connected to your Facebook Business Page, you may be able to approve the connection through your Facebook settings. Log into your Facebook Business Page or the Facebook App Store, go to Business Apps, click or tap Acuity Scheduling, and choose Also connect my Instagram Business Profile.
Note: If you encounter an authentication error when connecting Acuity to Instagram, change your Squarespace login method from social login to email login.
Disconnect
To remove the Acuity Book button from your Instagram profile, follow Instagram’s steps for removing a call-to-action button. To disconnect entirely from Facebook, disable the Meta Business Suite integration.
