Add a payment link or button to your automated email templates so clients can pay you faster.
When you send clients automated emails, you can include a payment link so clients can pay for their appointment.
What do I need to send payment links in emails?
To include payments links in your automated confirmation and reminder emails, your payment settings must allow clients to pay in full at booking.
Note: Older PayPal integrations don't support these payments. You can update your PayPal integration by disconnecting and reconnecting in the Payments panel.
Add payment links or buttons to your email templates
You can insert a payment link into your automated email templates as a styled button, a ready-made text link, or a customized text link.
Add a styled payment button to your email template
To add a payment button:
- Open the Client Emails panel.
- Select an email template.
- Click in the template where you want the button to appear.
- Click Add button, then click Pay for appointment.
- Click Save.
Add a ready-made text link to your email template
To add a "pay for appointment" text link:
- Open the Client Emails panel.
- Select an email template.
- Click in the template where you want the link to appear.
- Type the %paylink% tag directly into the message body. When sent, this tag automatically generates a clickable link that reads "pay for appointment."
- Click Save.
Add a custom text link to your email template
To customize the text link:
- Open the Client Emails panel.
- Select an email template.
- Click in the template where you want the link to appear.
- In the editor toolbar, click the Link icon, then click Insert link.
- In the URL field, type %payhref%.
- In the Text field, type your custom text.
- Optional: To have the link open in a new tab, check the box.
- Click Insert, then click Save.
When are payment links sent to clients?
You can send payment links for some appointment types and not for others by creating different email templates for your different appointment types. It’s not possible to send the link only if the client owes you money.
