Clients can pay for appointments using Venmo when you connect PayPal to Acuity.
Requirements to accept Venmo
Venmo turns on automatically if you meet these requirements:
- Location - Your business is based in the United States.
- Currency - You process payments in USD.
- PayPal connection - You use an updated PayPal connection. You can check for available updates in the Payments panel.
How do clients pay with Venmo?
When a client selects Venmo at checkout, how they pay depends on their device:
- Mobile devices - Clients are sent to the Venmo app to finish payment.
- Computers - A QR code appears at checkout. Clients scan the code with their mobile device to open the Venmo app and complete payment.
Why isn't Venmo appearing as an option?
The option to pay with Venmo only appears when clients use a compatible browser and device. These browsers are compatible with Venmo:
- iOS - Safari
- Android - Chrome
- macOS - Safari, Chrome, or Firefox
- Windows - Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge
