Collect payment for appointments by sending links from the mobile app

Last updated

Let clients pay for existing appointments by sending text or email links through email or text messaging apps from the Acuity Scheduling Admin mobile app.

You can use the Acuity Scheduling Admin mobile app to send payment links to clients by text message or email whenever you like.

What do I need to send payment links from the mobile app?

To send payment links using the mobile app:

  • Your payment settings must allow clients to pay at booking
  • You're charging the client for the original appointment cost. You can't change the amount when sending a payment link with the mobile app.

Note: Older PayPal integrations don't support these payments. You can update your PayPal integration by disconnecting and reconnecting in the Payments panel.

Send an email payment link

To send a payment link as an email from an existing appointment:

  1. Open the appointment details in the mobile app.
  2. Tap Start checkout, then tap Next.
  3. Tap Share payment link. If this option is hidden, tap More options to find it.
  4. Tap Email.
  5. Confirm or edit the client's information in the To and Email fields, then tap Send email.

Send a text payment link

To send a payment link as a text message from an existing appointment:

  1. Open the appointment details in the mobile app.
  2. Tap Start checkout, then tap Next.
  3. Tap Share payment link. If this option is hidden, tap More options to find it.
  4. Tap Text, then choose the client from your contacts.
  5. The payment link appears in a new message in your messaging app. Review the link, add any other text you want, and then send the message.

Can I collect deposits when sending payment links through the mobile app?

Yes. If you only accept deposits, the link charges the client the deposit amount, rather than the full remaining balance.
