Add a payment link to your automatic text reminders so clients can finish paying you before they arrive.
When you send your clients automated text message reminders, you can include a payment link so they can pay for their upcoming appointment.
Accessing this feature: You must be on the Standard/Growing or Premium/Powerhouse plan to send text message reminders.
What do I need to send payment links in texts?
To include payment links in your text messages:
- You must be on the Standard/Growing or Premium/Powerhouse plan to send text message reminders.
- You must verify your business before you can customize your text reminders.
- Your payment settings must allow clients to pay in full at booking.
Note: Older PayPal integrations don't support these payments. You can update your PayPal integration by disconnecting and reconnecting in the Payments panel.
Add a payment link to your text message template
To add the link, include the payment tag into your SMS template:
- Open the Client Text Messages panel.
- Select a custom text template.
- Place your cursor in the Custom message field where you want the link to appear and type %paylink%.
- Click Save.
Prevent your texts from being cut off
Although the template tag is short, the 300-character SMS limit counts the entire length of the final web link, which can cause longer messages to be cut off.
When are payment links sent to clients?
You can send payment links for some appointment types and not for others by creating different SMS templates for your different appointment types. It’s not possible to send the link only if the client owes you money.
