Connect your iCloud calendar to your Acuity calendar

This guide explains how to connect one or more Acuity users or contributors to iCloud calendars, and how to disconnect iCloud syncs.

To learn how syncing works and how to manage synced events, visit Syncing your calendar.

Sync with iCloud

To connect your Acuity calendar to iCloud, first connect to your Apple account:

  1. In Acuity, click Sync with Other Calendars, then click iCloud.
  2. Click Connect to iCloud, then follow the prompts to log into your Apple account. You may need to create an to complete this step.
  3. For each of your Acuity calendars, select your syncing options.
  4. Click Save.

You have several syncing options:

  • Use the iCloud dropdown menu to choose which iCloud calendar each Acuity calendar is connected to. If you don’t want one of your Acuity calendars to sync with iCloud, leave the dropdown menu on Select a calendar … (not syncing).
  • If you want Acuity to block off time based on events from an iCloud calendar, check the box under the dropdown menu.
  • If you have multiple calendars tied to your Apple account, you can have events from multiple calendars block off time in Acuity. After you pick an iCloud calendar to sync with and tell Acuity to use it to block off time, an additional dropdown menu will appear below. If you use it to select a calendar, another new dropdown menu will appear, and so on. These additional calendars will send events to Acuity, but only the topmost calendar will receive your synced Acuity appointments.

Connect Acuity to multiple iCloud calendars

If you have many iCloud calendars in one Apple account, you can sync Acuity events to all of them. This can be a good option if you use one third-party account to track employee schedules on different calendars. To create the connection, first share all of your icloud calendars with one central calendar. Then, sync Acuity to that central iCloud calendar.

Connect multiple Acuity users or contributors to iCloud Calendar

Each person who logs into Acuity can connect to one Apple account. To sync your calendars with multiple Apple accounts, but don’t want to share iCloud calendars as described above, you can have each user or contributor set up their own iCloud sync.

Disconnect from iCloud

To disconnect your iCloud calendar from Acuity:

  1. In Acuity, click Sync with Other Calendars, then click iCloud.
  2. Click Disconnect iCloud account, then click Ok.

When you disconnect the sync, any Acuity appointments that have already been synced to iCloud, including upcoming appointments, will remain unless you delete them.

Any past iCloud events that have been synced to Acuity will remain in Acuity. All future iCloud events will disappear from your Acuity calendar.
