Send clients to a particular scheduling page to streamline the booking process.

Direct links steer clients to specific offerings, or help them access appointment types that are usually private.

Instead of going through the whole scheduling process, clients who click on a direct link open a  scheduler with some options already selected or narrowed down. You can send them to a specific appointment type, appointment category, calendar, or location. You can also link directly to your class list, or to your list of packages, gift certificates, and subscriptions.

Link to appointment types

With these links, the appointment type is already set, and clients complete the rest of the booking process as normal.

To copy a direct link to an appointment type to your clipboard:

  1. In Acuity, click Scheduling page link.
  2. In the Direct links & embedding section, use the drop-down menu to choose an appointment type.
  3. Click Copy to copy the link to your clipboard.

Link to appointment categories

With these links, clients choose from the appointments in the selected category, then book as normal.

To copy a direct link to an appointment category to your clipboard:

  1. In Acuity, click Scheduling page link.
  2. In the Direct links & embedding section, use the drop-down menu to scroll down to Appointment type categories.
  3. Choose an appointment category, then click Copy to copy the link to your clipboard.

Link to calendars

With these links, clients choose from the appointment types offered on the calendar you’ve chosen, and aren’t prompted to pick a calendar during booking.

To copy a direct link to a calendar to your clipboard:

  1. In Acuity, click Scheduling page link.
  2. In the Direct links & embedding section, use the drop-down menu to choose a calendar.
  3. Click Copy to copy the link to your clipboard.

Link to locations

Clients choose from the appointment types offered on calendars set to the location you’ve chosen. If you've set up your scheduler to allow clients to pick a calendar, they're only shown calendars at the chosen location. After that, clients complete the booking process as normal.

To copy a direct link to a calendar to your clipboard:

  1. In Acuity, click Availability.
  2. Scroll down to the location you want, then click the Direct link button to the right of the location.
  3. Click Copy, then click Close.

Link to your class list

Clients choose from a list of your group classes, then book as normal.

To copy a direct link to your class list to your clipboard.

  1. In Acuity, click Scheduling page link.
  2. In the Direct links & embedding section, use the drop-down menu to choose All classes.
  3. Click Copy to copy the link to your clipboard.

Link to packages, gift certificates, and subscriptions

Clients choose from a list of your packages, gift certificates, and subscriptions. They follow the standard checkout for these offerings. They can schedule the appointments they’ve paid for after checkout, or later.

To copy a direct link to your packages, gift certificates, and subscriptions to your clipboard:

  1. In Acuity, click Packages, gifts & subscriptions.
  2. Click the Direct link to store button on the right side of the page.
  3. Click Copy to copy the link to your clipboard.

You can also link directly to a specific package, gift certificate, or subscription:

  1. In Acuity, click Packages, gifts & subscriptions
  2. Next to the package, gift certificate, or subscription you want to link a client to, click Direct link.
  3. Click Copy to copy the link to your clipboard.
Note: If you link directly to a package, gift certificate, or subscription, clients go directly to the checkout screen and won’t be shown any package descriptions you’ve added.

Private appointment types

If your direct link leads to a mix of public and private appointment types, only public options will display. If your direct link leads to a single private appointment type, or a group of only private appointment types, the private appointment types will display.

If you have an appointment type that’s only for select clients, you can make the appointment type private, then send them a direct link. But you may want to warn your clients not to forward the link — anyone else who gets it can book those appointments, too.

Customize direct links

After you customize your client scheduling page URL, you can customize direct links to your individual appointment types and calendars, changing the portion of the URL that comes after .as.me/.

Clients who navigate to the default version of the direct link will still reach your scheduler. But if you customize your link, then later change it to something else, the first customized link won't work.

To customize direct links:

  1. In Acuity, click Scheduling Page Link.
  2. In the Direct links & embedding section, use the drop-down menu to select a direct link.
  3. Click the Direct link tab.
  4. Click Customize link.
  5. Enter a new link. The customized portion of your URL coming after .as.me/ can consist of letters, numbers, and hyphens. You can't add symbols (like $ or *) or special characters (like ü, é, or ñ). It must be between one and 255 characters long.
  6. Click Save.
