Using an Acuity Scheduling client account

Clients use client accounts to track appointments, review active package codes, and more. 

This guide is intended for clients who have, or are considering, client accounts. It explains what client accounts do, how to create them, and how to manage and use them.

Client accounts are only available for businesses that have this feature enabled.

What having an account does

With a client account:

• You can review all of your past and scheduled appointments and cancel and reschedule them, if the business allows.
• You can review all of your active package, gift certificate, and subscription codes.
• More information will autofill for you when you book new appointments.

Create an account

To create a client account:

1. Go to the business’ scheduler.
2. Click Sign up in the top-right corner.
3. Enter an email and a password.
4. Check the box to consent to our Terms of Service and acknowledge that you understand our Privacy Policy.
5. Click Sign up.

Log into your account

On the business' scheduler, click Log in the top-right corner to log into your client account. You can do this if the scheduler is a standalone page, or if it’s embedded in a website.

You can also log in through the Acuity Scheduling Client mobile app.

Log out of your account

On the business' scheduler, click your username in the top-right corner, then click Logout.

Access your appointment list and available codes

To view a list of all your appointments and all codes available to you, go to the business' scheduler and log in.

To view upcoming and past appointments, click your username in the top-right corner, then click Appointments.

To view your active codes, click your username in the top-right corner, then click Manage codes.

Apply codes when booking

When you book an appointment, if you have available package, gift certificate, or subscription codes good for that appointment, you'll have the option to apply those codes without having to manually enter them. If you're logged into your client account, when you click on the Package, gift, or coupon code field, a link will appear inviting you to review your redeemable codes. The link opens a modal where you can choose an available code to apply.

What if I book an appointment while logged out of my client account?

If you're still on the confirmation page, you can log in to assign the appointment to your client account. If not, the business owner can assign your appointment to your client account.

What if I have appointments with multiple businesses that use Acuity?

If you have an Acuity client account with one business, you can use the same information to log in with any other business that uses Acuity and has enabled client accounts. When you log in via a business' scheduler, you can review your appointments and codes for that business only.

Reset your password

To reset your password:

1. Go to the scheduler you want to book with and click Log in.
2. Click Forgot your password?.
3. Enter your username and click Reset password.
4. Follow the instructions in the password reset email to finish resetting your password.

Updating your username

It's not possible to update the username associated with a client account. If you need to use a new email address for your client account, create a new client account with the new email address.

Delete your client account

To request deletion of your client account, send us a message through the Help Center. Please choose Client account deletion as your topic.

Deleting your client account will only delete your personal information from our systems to the extent Acuity/Squarespace is the legal owner of that personal information (this is also known as the “data controller” under the GDPR). 

After your client account is deleted, any Acuity business with which you previously booked will still have personal information about you stored in the Acuity platform. This could include your name and contact information, what services you booked, any custom intake forms you completed, and more. To request the deletion of any Acuity-business-owned personal information, you'll need to contact each business directly. 

To identify which Acuity businesses you've booked appointments with before you delete your client account, you can do so in a few ways:

1. Log into the Acuity Scheduling Client mobile app. On the home screen, any businesses you've added to your account will appear. Tap Appointments to see if you've booked any appointments with those businesses.
2. If you're not using the Acuity Scheduling Client mobile app, you can also search your email inbox for appointment confirmation emails. The emails are sent from scheduling@acuityscheduling.com or scheduling@acuityscheduling-mail.com, and the sender name will match the business name.
