And Acuity also offers a couple of ways to help your clients pay online after booking. Clients can pay before or after the appointment itself, but PayPal does not support payment after booking in Acuity.

Include a link for payments in your automatic e-mails

It's possible to edit the confirmation and reminder emails that Acuity automatically sends out to include a link inviting clients to pay for their appointments.

To add the link, insert the tag %paylink% into the relevant email template. When Acuity sends the message, it will convert the tag into a link inviting clients to pay.

Getting the confirmation page web address

If a client needs to pay for their appointment, you can also send them a link to their confirmation page, where they will be able to make a payment. To access this link:

  • Click on the appointment to bring up the details.
  • Click on the cog icon in the upper righthand corner.
  • From the dropdown menu, select Client's Confirmation Page. The page will open in a new tab.


  • Then, copy the URL and send it to the client.
