Acuity Scheduling is releasing a new scheduling experience. We’re working to roll out the new scheduler to everyone. We’ll notify you with a banner in Acuity when you’re selected for the new scheduler.
Because most Acuity customers are now migrated to the new scheduler, our help guides reflect the new scheduling experience. This guide covers some differences that might be helpful to know about if you’re one of our customers still awaiting migration to the new scheduler.
What’s different about the old scheduler?
A handful of processes work differently if you’re using the old scheduler:
- If you use the monthly template, clients can enter package, gift certificate, subscription, or coupon codes when they start booking. On the new scheduler, clients only enter codes at checkout.
- Clients can redeem package, gift certificate, or subscription codes by entering their email address. On the new scheduler, clients always enter their automatically generated code.
- Clients can sign up for client accounts from the confirmation page. On the new scheduler, clients can sign up by clicking Sign up in the top-right corner of the scheduler.
Why do I still have the old scheduler?
If you still have the old scheduler, either you have an Acuity subscription that’s not yet eligible for the new scheduler or you’re using a feature that’s not yet supported on the new scheduler. We’re working hard to remove items from this list, but for now you might not have the new scheduler if you:
- Started using Acuity on or after May 1, 2023
- Are on our Enterprise plan
- Use advanced CSS customizations.
- Have enabled pay-what-you-want pricing using the Full payment + allow clients to pay extra payment setting.
- Use Acuity’s integrations with Google analytics or Referral Candy.
- Implement custom conversion tracking.
Can I keep the old scheduler?
It’s not possible to keep the old scheduler after you've migrated to the new one. When your account is eligible for the new scheduler, you’ll be migrated.
After migration, if you enable a feature that’s not supported on the new scheduler, you’ll be temporarily reverted to the old scheduler. You’ll be migrated back to the new scheduling experience once that feature is supported.
