In the left hand menu under Business Settings > Sync with Other Calendars > Office 365, click "Sign in to Office 365". Clicking this will let you to sign in to Office 365, authorizing us to access your online Office 365 calendar and add appointments.
After getting connected, you'll be able to select Office 365 calendars for your Acuity calendars to sync to. Optionally, you can check the box "block off time in Acuity from..." to block off time from events in Office 365.
Events from Office 365 will display in the daily and weekly view of your calendar, and syncs 200 days into the future to your Acuity calendar.
Changing Your Password: Changing your password for Office 365 will revoke Acuity's access to your Office 365 calendar. If the password for Office 365 is changed, then the sync must be reconnected in the Sync with Other Calendars page.
Multiple Accounts
Each User Account in Acuity will be able to connect to their own Office 365 account, and will only be able to sync with the Acuity calendars they have access to.
Free vs. Busy
When blocking off events from Office 365 is enabled, only events marked as "Busy" will block time in Acuity. By default, most Office 365 calendars set all-day and multi-day events to "Free" so if your event is not blocking off time in Acuity be sure to check that!
Set a Reminder
You can set an automatic reminder before an appointment right in Acuity for your Office 365 Calendar under Business Settings > Sync with other Calendars > Office 365 tab!
Shared Calendars
Acuity does not have access to view events or add appointments to shared calendars in Office 365.
Sync with Outlook
Acuity, Outlook on PC, and newer versions of Outlook for Mac can all connect to Office 365's online calendar. Connecting your Acuity account and Outlook app to the same Office 365 account allows us to sync with Outlook.
Office 365 Plans ⚓
Acuity requires an Office 365 plan with the online calendar (Business class email, calendar, and contacts) in order to connect. From Microsoft this is available with the Business Essentials and Business Premium plans, as well as the Enterprise plans. Either of the Exchange Online plans will also be able to connect with Acuity through our Office 365 integration.
Error AADSTS50020: User account does not exist. ⚓
Or more specifically, User account from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist. This error message usually means the e-mail address is an Outlook.com calendar account, instead of an Office 365 account. Give our Outlook.com integration a shot, and if you're still having trouble connecting just drop us a line.
Having Trouble?
If you've enabled multi-factor authentication in Office 365, you'll need to create an App Password just for Acuity. You can find more information on creating App Passwords in Microsoft's help article.
