How to rearrange calendars, appointment categories, and appointment add-ons

When calendars, appointment categories and appointment add-ons appear in a list, they appear in alphabetical order by default. But you can put them in any order you want.

If you edit the name of a calendar, category or add-on to begin with a space, Acuity will move it to the top of the list. (The space won’t be visible to your clients). The more spaces you add, the further up the list the item goes.

So, if you have these calendars:


And you want to display them in reverse order, give them these names (each _ represents a space):

  • Alice's Calendar
  • _Bob's Calendar
  • _ _Charlie's Calendar 

And Acuity will display them in this order:


If you have locations set for your calendars, Acuity will order your calendars by location. You can edit the locations to begin with a space to change the order in which the locations are shown.

To edit the locations or names of your calendars, go to the Availability > Calendars page and select the Calendar Settings button.

How to rearrange appointment types

You can rearrange appointment types as well, but they aren't listed in alphabetical order. Instead, you drag them into order. You'll need to do this on a computer — it won't work on a phone or tablet. 

Here’s how to rearrange appointment types:

  • Go to Business Settings > Appointment Types.
  • Click on the appointment type you want to move.
  • Drag it to its new position.
